Proceeds from this years event will benefit Martha’s Pantry. Martha’s Pantry provides food for 60 to 80 client families living with HIV and AIDS each month and distributes personal hygiene items, household cleaning supplies, pet food, food preparation and storage items, as well as clothing and household items donated to the pantry. Where
Camp Oregon Bears One Time at Bear Camp will be held in the same location as last year’s event: Lone Fir Restort in beautiful and relaxing Cougar Washington. The address is16806 Lewis River Road Cougar, WA 98616. Cougar is near Mt St Helens and is about one third of the way from Portland to Seattle. It’s a great drive from either city & by shopping around, you may be able to get a cheaper air fare from either Portland or Seattle.
The area is very mountainous so it’s important not to get off track. If you do, you could find yourself lost without help far from people, cell service, gas, and food. Here are some directions to keep you on track. A GPS is recommended. Keep in mind that without cell service the GPS on your phone may be of limited usefulness.
When
In 2012, Camp Oregon Bears will take place from September 13 through the 16th. Early registration begins Thursday at 4 PM and a grab-n-go continental breakfast will be served as bears and their friends are parting on Sunday morning. Those who attend the entire event will be staying three nights packed with two full days of fun in between.
